Participants in the 2019 challenge are invited to submit manuscripts to JMIR Medical Informatics (IF: 3.188) for a special issue. This is an alternative to the JAMIA Special Focus Issue on UMLS at 30, which was not a good fit for all participants.

Instructions

• Please describe your submissions in scientific terms (i.e., not a system description, more like a regular paper where the scientific novelty is emphasized). All submissions will go through the standard JMIR Medical Informatics journal review process.
• You are free to make changes (i.e., improvements) to your system now that you have the judged results, but please also indicate how you did in your ‘official’ submissions as well in your results section.
• JMIR Medical Informatics is an open-access journal, and thus has a publication fee. After negotiating with the journal, we have received a 20% discount rate, which is  USD$1520 per article. 
• Please see the JMIR instructions for authors for information on formatting, page limits, etc.
• The deadline is April 7, 2020, and the submission system will open on April 7, 2020.
