Challenges in Natural Language Processing for Clinical Data

November 4, 2022
AMIA-affiliated workshop, Washington Hilton, Washington, D.C.

We are pleased to announce the 2022 n2c2 Workshop on Challenges in Natural Language Processing for Clinical Data. This is the latest in a series that began in 2006 at the former i2b2 National Center for Biomedical Computing (NCBC) and now continues at the Harvard Medical School Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) in partnership with the College of Engineering and Computing of George Mason University. This year, National NLP Clinical Challenges (n2c2, formerly known as i2b2 NLP Shared Tasks) workshop will bring you three tasks:

  • Track 1: Contextualized Medication Event Extraction
  • Track 2: Extracting Social Determinants of Health (SDOH)
  • Track 3: Progress Note Understanding: Assessment and Plan Reasoning

The workshop is open to all interested parties and will highlight the contributions of the systems that were developed for the three tasks.  We look forward to seeing you all at the Washington Hilton on November 4, 2022.
